In the heart of the metaverse, a unique artistic experience is taking shape in the Bita region of Craft World. On March 12, 2025, at 10:00 p.m., “The Beauty of Impermanence – Traces of Water and Light” will be inaugurated, an exhibition conceived to blend traditional art with the potential of Artificial Intelligence. The event will take place in an evocative space, specifically created to host the works of Sergej Zarf, aka Mario Fontanella, and offer visitors the chance to immerse themselves in a visual dimension full of emotion and depth.
The exhibition offers a journey through digitally generated images that evoke the lightness and delicacy of watercolor, restoring the mutability and fragility of human existence. Each portrait represents the faces of people of different ages and genders, capturing the elusive essence of memory and ever-changing identity. The figures emerge and dissolve, like memories that surface and then vanish, suggesting the beauty enclosed in the fleeting instant.
The light brushstrokes and overlapping transparencies create plays of light and fading, evoking the flow of time and the melancholy sweetness of the past. Water and light, symbolic elements of transformation and rebirth, intertwine in the composition of the images, giving life to a contemplative experience that encourages reflection on the ephemeral nature of life. The artist’s intent is not only to represent the visible, but to suggest what exists beyond forms: the constant change of being, the mystery of existence and the luminosity that makes its way even in moments of uncertainty.
In this dialogue between innovation and artistic sensibility, Artificial Intelligence does not replace the artist’s hand, but amplifies his vision, becoming a means of expressing universal concepts of resilience and transformation. Each work tells a story, a visual reflection on the essence of existence, offering the viewer a new way of perceiving time and memory.
“The Beauty of Impermanence” is not simply an exhibition, but an immersive experience that invites you to observe reality with new eyes, to embrace change and to grasp the beauty in the unstoppable flow of life.
The exhibition will be presented on the same day in three virtual worlds, in Craft at 10 p.m., in Second Life and in Spatial at 6 p.m. on March 21, 2025.
